i think my new friend.. zita.. is a permanent friend.

i met her at chin, a common get together place over at the face.
she was a bit obnoxious at first, didn't like her presence...
i thought she'd go away after me beating her up and pushing her away...
but i guess i got used to her and...
she didn't really budge.
she left a mark in me life, so i won't forget her.
some of you have probably met her already or feel as if you have known her for years, she can do that to anyone.

yeah, my new friend zita is here to stay.

so much happened since i last posted..

saw my old 3rd and 6th grade teachers.. mrs brozek and mrs oneto. they look the SAME from 15 or 18 years ago. calm down. they blushed when i said that.. cute.

hung out with a high school friend, anna.. we filled each other in on high school classmate gossip, *best* then we realised.. we're due for a high school reunion soon.

saw megan wetzel who was workin' for hovrs, which is down the road from Lincoln, CA... she joined wiv to check out the deaf church that i grew up in..

a fun BBQ saturday night at zoe ann's with oni and lindsay's presence..

more old faces at church sunday...

downtown old sacramento..

boatin' fun and a roadtrip to San Francisco..

a fun and eventual arrival to oni's place at 4am...

walkin' all over castro and haight street... tried a hookah for the first time, calm down.

got up at 5am to get on the amtrak bus, train, then bus back to sacramento.. *best*

a mini update

the day after i graduated, gordon, tamer, and i drove to new york city to fly to india. yeah, the day after. crazybees. all commencement crazyness was put on a shelf because 1, india and 2, i wasn't really quite ready to digest it all. it all happened so fast, that weekend, the parties, the gifts, the people, the friends, the parents, the spot. everything.

india was beautifully intense. i won't blog about it just yet because i have no camera cord to upload me pictures, foo. so hold your horses people. sorrrrry in advance ;)

after india, i had a last minute stay in london. instead of a few hour layover, i extended it with a 2 night stay with damaris and her fam. kenny dehaan join'd me since he had always wanted to see london, so why not. i had JUST missed fergus since he went off to portugal, oy, but it was just... fabulous to see damaris, hamish, abigail and the parents.

after that, landed in EWR new jersey and stayed at the airport overnight since i was flying to louisana at 5am.. even being a bum in america has its perks than those in india. after being 'attacked' by security in new jersey, i was off to louisana for the deaf women united conference.

i landed in new orleans, louisana that following morning. and wow... it was just beautiful to be in a room full of deaf women. the hotel was just breath taking, fortunately i got a scholarship so the conference fee and hotel was covered. it was definitly a HUGE 360 change from what i had in india. i arrived a day late and walked all over just to find someone i knew. imagine a woman, wearing clothes she had worn for 2 days, hadn't showered for 3 days, hair a mess, smells like an airport, with her small backpack in front and her big backpack on her bag, orange crocs, walking all over a NICE hotel. ha. quite the sight. finally i found vicki hurwitz and she immediately took my arm and welcomed me. whew. i found myself being mellow and observant, like a fly on the wall. there was much to absorb and i really didn't absorb it all till then. my last year at RIT, graduation, SG, India, jobs, and all that -- ran through my mind as i sat quietly outside, by the pool, in the garden, or in my room.

i loved the conference. i enjoyed just being in their presence. many well known women were there. it was funny because many of them approached me because of my SG presidency, and... i just find it so odd. "oh yes yes, i saw your picture, i've seen your face all over, now you're here with us! wow, its nice to finally meet you." and i stand there in awe saying "nooo? its nice to finally meet you!?" just goes to show we all have a story, one way or another. the next conference will be in oregon 2009 and i plan on attending and recruitin' a lot more friends to join!

after louisana i flew to california. that's where i'm at now for 2 weeks. am staying with zoe ann and the family. my first lunch right after i arrived was at innout. of course! delish, simply delish. jon is hell bent on keeping me busy doing this and that, i just think its hilarious. we went boatin', tubin', and .. some wakeboardin' yesterday. and i'm all kinds of sore today. later this afternoon we'll go bikin' and waterfallin'... yayness. phew. i feel so old and obsolete?

yesterday i picked up a penny... it had the year 1974 on it, the year dad graduated from ntid.
today i picked up my cap n gown... and my orange/brown tassel.

seriously. r'honest(ly). calm down.

if you haven't seen the all american classic: Grease... then you're not human. Grease is one of my all time favorites. i must've watched it a million times in high school when a friend took me to watch it in theaters. it's a musical, and lord knows i love musicals :)
